About The ARE Study Warrior Platform

We created the ARE Study Warrior Platform – because we did not believe there were enough effective resources out there for Architects, Architectural Designers and students studying to take their 6 ARE NCARB Exams for licensure.

If sufficient resources are indeed out there, they are often too difficult to find or too expensive for emerging architects to afford.

This ARE Exam study site is not just for practicing architects, although that is indeed the focus. It is also for those interested in the field of architecture, including ambitious high schoolers or college students looking to become an architect one day and wanting to know more about what that entails or start studying early!

Our study platform material is organized by ARE exam divisions. Since we believe in focusing on one ARE exam at a time. Our online platform offers free basic study material, as well as more in-depth, advanced monthly subscription study material divided by each division, with some material overlap between divisions where appropriate. For subscribers, our site offers multiple choice practice quizzes for each division, easy flip warrior study cards, more advanced architectural details to aid in your studies, as well as short video lectures.

A current degree in Architecture teaches students how to develop conceptual designs and present their design ideas, but it usually does not prepare you for the NCARB Exams for licensure and it often does not prepare you well for the nuts and bolts of your first 5 years working in the field of Architecture.

The goal of the ARE STUDY WARRIOR platform, created by fully licensed Architects, is to create a full database of study material, quizzes, details, lectures and resources for Architects in their first 5 to 12 years in the field to draw from.

As many of you know, working in architecture often means long hours in front of your computer. This is part of the trade we all know this, but we also know we need to get outside and get some fresh air from time to time.

While studying for your exams, take healthy breaks outside. Take a short morning walk in the rain. Take time for an afternoon hike with a friend or your dog. Go study at the local coffee shop. Find time to get on your feet and inhale some fresh air because it is important that we change up our daily environment. It renews and resets the mind so you can get back at your studies.

In this age of transient living, we also strongly believe in connecting with family and friends who make us stronger. Repair broken relationships and forgive no matter how hard taking that first step may be.

Remember that you are in control of these exams from start to finish. You control which exam you get to take first, you control the entire order and schedule for taking all 6 of these exams. You get to control when and how often you study. Even if you fail two or three exams, do not lose heart. Get right back on the saddle, re-adjust your schedule and mindset and start studying for a new exam!

Good luck with your studying!
